It has been almost two weeks since she passed away. Knowing she passed away peacefully in her sleep, I felt at ease but it still hurts, mentally and physically. In the first week of receiving the news, my mind and my body were constantly fighting. And it seemed that during the daytime, my mind won over since I did not collapse on the spot and burst out crying. And when the night came, when I was free from the responsibility, everything crashed down. It felt like thousands needles piercing me from the inside, a constant burning sensation trapped in my chest.
I know she wouldn’t want to see me as such, but I can’t help it. It will take a long time to recover from grief, but until then, I am scrapping by.
