Starting October 30th, 2024, I’m no longer a PhD student…
because the final defense was successful and I’m fully a Dr. now!!!!!!!!!!
The year 2024, most of the time was for the thesis and final defense. During the summer, I had an internship at an amazing start-up working on smart roof coatings (EnKoat). Overall, stressful and tired, especially those short-sleep nights near the defense day!

I still cook when I could to distract me from writing the thesis and experiments. Some simple and brace-friendly recipes, baked goods as well as homemade BBQ sauce, pasta sauce and marinade. Will share the recipes on the blog soon!
I will also have the chance to cook for my best friend as she will be coming this December for my graduation ceremony! I can’t wait to see her! Hopefully she already has a menu in mind!
