Easy homemade garlic bread

I made garlic bread quite frequently these days and my roommates were addicted to it so I guess I should share the recipe. It’s gonna be short and super easy. The recipe was inspired by Bac Hai (my mom’s eldest sister): she occasionally made this as snacks for the family. The recipe is vegetarian because I use regular butter. It could be made vegan if we use vegan butter, so yeah… vegan option available!

The garlic bread slices are also great for sandwiches. I tried… and honestly… I never want to have normal bread for sandwiches again! And that is it! Hope you all enjoy this short and simple recipe!


Easy homemade garlic bread

A very short recipe on a super easy and highly-addictive homemade garlic bread that made the boys at home finish them in a blink of eyes.

  • 8 slices Bread
  • 5 tbsp Butter
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 5 cloves Garlic
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Dried parsley
  • 1 tsp Dried cilantro


  • Soften the butter in a small bowl by microwave for 15 seconds.
  • If you want to use fresh cilantro and parsley, finely chop them until the chopped ingredients added up to 1 tablespoon for each. For dried parsley and cilantro, use 1 teaspoon each.
  • Finely chop or mince or grate the peeled garlic to the soften butter.
  • Add all the seasoning to the butter and mix well to combine.
  • Spread the butter mixture on one side of the bread slice.
  • Preheat the oven at 375 F. Place the bread on top rack and bake at 375 F in 10 – 15 minutes (depend on how hot the oven is). And tada… you have your own garlic bread!
